- Tattoo artists hone craft as art gains
acceptance in society
I
wrote this piece as my final story for my Beat Reporting class. We were
instructed to write a long feature story, so we needed to choose a
somewhat broad topic that we were really interested in; I chose tattoos.
I had so much fun hanging out at a tattoo parlor for a day and talking
to artists and clients that it even inspired me to get a tattoo of my own a
year later.

This story was also written for my Beat Reporting class. I had worked behind the scenes as a legislative page for the Nebraska Legislature, so it was interesting to see things from the media's point of view. This was also my first time covering a live meeting, and although it was a new challenge, I was happy with how the final story turned out.
